Getting started with Karyasthan
Karyasthan keeps your family's properties, rent, repairs, and documents in one place. Every member sees the same picture, wherever they are.
What you will find
- Dashboard shows this month's rent snapshot: how much has been collected, what is outstanding, and which tenants are overdue. A shared activity timeline sits on the right so the whole family sees what has happened.
- Properties lists all your properties. Click any row to open the property detail, with units, tenants, and a per-property timeline.
- Rent is the monthly rent ledger. Record payments, generate receipts, and see who is due or overdue.
- Ledger holds the complete transaction history across all properties. It can be filtered and exported to CSV.
- Care covers maintenance requests, geotagged proof photos, and trusted local contacts.
- Documents stores rent receipts, lease agreements, land deeds, and other files securely in the cloud.
- People & access controls who can see and manage your properties (Owner, Manager, or Viewer).
- Reports has charts for collection, occupancy, and arrears aging over 3, 6, or 12 months.
- Ask Karyasthan is an AI assistant that answers questions about your own estate data.
Where to begin
- Open Properties and click Add property.
- Fill in a name, type (Flat, Villa, Shop, or Land), and address.
- Optionally tick Add a tenant to record the first lease and monthly rent straight away.
- Return to the Dashboard. Your first property appears immediately.
tip: If a family member needs to follow along without making changes, add them as a Viewer in People & access. They will see rent and proof photos but cannot record payments or invite anyone.
